Is anyone else a little surprised we haven't brought in replacements for the injured guys?
Most people who went to France will be aware of the speculation about a replacement being sought for Roman (either temporary or permanent). I know GM's way of doing business is to only anounce deals once they're done, & i for one agree with this approach. However i expected the rumour mill to be a bit more active than it has been during the last week.
The 4 games over the next 9 days are crucial for our Elite League hopes. I would have expected to at least bolster the line up with our 2-way contract players. I presume their ENL sides have priority which means they may be available for the Belfast & London games?

I am under the impression that if Mad dog is back this week (That what is being hoped for by all) then we will need 2 "line fillers" Richard and Daniel will fill these slots nicely. My guess, and purely a guess the lines for the games will be...
JC, Caddy, Ahlroos Klmikov, Ivan, Woijcak Scott, Myers, Clarke
Defensive pairings as normal.
My only thought in moving RIchard up to that line is that if Clarke was to move up then the 3rd line would be left with Myers, Richard and Scott. No disrespect to either player but this would leave us with a weak line. Same as what is happening with he defence, Ricci and Calle would be spot on but that would mean the second pairing will be Weaker. Better to have 2 decent lines than one great line and one poor line.

I'm not suprised at all.
I think we saw last season when we brought players in to cover for injuries and a short bench, those players didnt really make much difference.
Remember we will have McWilliams (Solihull), Yarley (Peterborough), and Carr (Milton Keynes) all 2 way players availble for Belfast and London.
On the assumption we dont have anyone else in for the Cardiff game the lines will be (presumably):
Alhroos, Cadotte, Craighead Clarke, Ivan, Kalmikov Wojiack, Meyers, Scott
I dont have any concerns about the apparently 'weaker' 3rd line, as from what I understand, Cardiff play a 'inexperienced' 3rd line as well.
My only concern would be that we have a D man injury meaning that Scott or Wojiack would have to fall back to cover.
Sometimes I think it can be an advantage to play short benched. A couple of the players have said how much they enjoy the greater ice time as it helps them get into the game more easily.

That is true, but a lot of our success so far this season has been down to our third line and how it compares to other teams' ... Tonight's gonna be tough, I'm praying that the spirit found in France will tip the balance in our favour. One things for sure, we cannot afford to pick up another injury ...

And MK are not playing tonight, so that's a possibility (and nothing more) of having Carr..... Well - them's the lines that started against Amiens and Ljubljana, and they did a good job there - so that doesn't worry me too much.... they've proved themselves and then some! True - and Myers knows Cardiff well, so may be able to 'wise up' his linemates a bit...... You could have a telling point there...... was one of the reasons the team tried so hard in Amiens because they were 'up against it' so much? - a real 'balls to the wall' performance!
