People booing Neilson in the outside celebrations at the end! Most successful ever panthers coach in the modern era! He's not won the league but neither has any other coach.. He's bought us 4 trophies in 4 seasons still in contention for a 5th

I thought I heard this too. Ridiculous if you ask me, it must have been a small group as it wasn't very loud.

I must admit it I cheered the loudest for him , so didn't hear any, of which I'm glad. Totally agree about it being disgraceful. in the 11 years I have been watching its by far the best hockey I,ve seen the team play and it's enjoyable to watch hence the crowds.
So what we haven't won the league, there's 9 others that haven't....we've tried and we will keep trying.......well done lads and am a really proud panthers fan

I've been plenty critical of Neilson but booing him is bang out of order. Whatever anyone says I'm sure nine other clubs would all like to change places with us tonight.

I think I did hear a few boos but nothing im sure he hasnt heard before from certain fans...when Dan Green got the cup everyone went quiet....so he seemed to vanish back inside after that...

The fans that booed Corey are the fans that are usually too elitist to go to cup games, surprised they were there.
Such a good night tonight, I took my younger brothers and sister and they all loved it.
Proud panther here!

There was a small group of Belfast fans at the back of the crowd making comments - the booing probably came from them!

Fair credit to Corey, he's put up with so much stick the past couple of seasons. I want him to carry on coaching, if we do the double 2 years in a row, you can hardly say he deserves to go. Also was proud of the team for getting the support for Heerema and remembering his efforts for the club. Fantastic night all-round

No chance of it being a bit of a joke or even away fans? People get outraged very easily on here.

Jokingly booing your own coach? That sounds like it'd be really funny....

Might have depended upon where you were in the crowd as to whether you heard it or not. I suppose everybody's got the right to boo or cheer as they please, but I can't help thinking that - whoever they were - they were just a bunch of <moderated>!

Booing Neilson is just wrong! Most successful coach the Panthers have ever had. Currently he is our best (most in-form) defenceman and quite possibly our best player over the past 3 or 4 weeks. He has shown more commitment to the team recently with 3 fights in the last few games, protecting his players.
Those who booed should be ashamed and embarrassed!

I thought that when he had his cuddle with Kuiper, that he completely de-fused a situation that could have boiled over. Smart thinking.
There are very few d-men in this league (this or previous seasons) that I would take over Neilson. I know that he starting to knock on a bit, but still think he does a great job for us.
As already said, whilst we have not won the league under him (we didnt under Ellis and Adey and they are still idolised), he has led the team to more trophies than anyone else.

Without bringing up this old discussion, firstly if rumours led to be believed , Adey never had much influence when he was here on various players so its unfair to compare him to neilson,... and ellis was never given enough time and he was booted out for double a cup double (like neilson) neilson has won more than those two purely because hes been given much long to build HIS team . Hence why hes ended up being more sucessful than PA and ME

Hicks was bad yes but you're only as good as your linesmen...the off the puck incidents on Wilson and Levers should've been seen by at least ONE official!!!
As for the "fans" that booed Corey...bugger off and don't come back this season. Thank you.

Danny Meyers got a stick in the face and Aaron Clarke slashed Corey in the back of the knee with the heel of his stick. A deliberate attempt to injure if I ever saw one.
