Nice one! ;D ;D
However, on a serious note......
Actually, there is a deserving cause much closer to home that might benefit from such a whip-round on the 31st..... (and no - I'm not talking about the Lions! ;D)
The local ladies team, the Nottingham Vipers, are playing the Sheffield Shadows on the 31st in the Olympic Rink - faceoff due at about 7:15pm IIRC. They are always chronically short of funds, and I've heard that they may be planning a bit of a bucket collection or something during the game.
Surely a worthy cause for fellow Nottingham ice hockey fans to support? It'd be nice for a load of us to cheer them on, and also to contribute to their coffers.

still think women ice hockey is boring though(for those watching anyway That is a sweeping generalisation Tim. It can be difficult at times as womens teams often have a wide range of ability within the team due to a restricted pool of players to choose from. When the teams are well matched womens games are good to watch. They may be (supposedly) hit free but that can lead to open skillful play instead. It's subjective - I'd probably find watching you play pretty boring... ;D

...'Peron doesn't hide behind the lack of new sticks for his line's problems in front of goal. "We've been struggling offensively. I have been snake bitten for most of the time and we are all struggling to find the back of the net. That's probably down to luck and confidence more than anything else.' Gary Player once said 'the more i practice the luckier i get' I guess my confidence would be low as well if the press said i was shooting blanks

i've watched a couple of their matches, they are fun to watch obviously they dont have the speed etc. I like watching refs in the lower leagues very funny.

We must be about due a visit from Andy.... seems a long time since we had one... Logic would dictate that he won't be assigned to the game on the 31st..... but when did logic come into these things Mind you, when he's got his head in gear he is a good ref - calls interference and good open games are the result. Reckon the best ref I've seen in a while was at a Northstars game. They didn't seem to have any officials that night, so the game was refereed by a chap who's uniform consisted of trackie bottoms and a brown jumper. No lineys either. He didn't seem to need them - got eyes in the back of his head, don't think he missed any offsides. They didn't seem to bother with the icing rule though - all made for an open entertaining game. Wonder what he's doing on the 31st? ;D

i just said it was boring to watch.
again i just said it was boring to watch, never said anything about boring to play.
any even if they are differnt skill levels it shouldn't mean your not allowed to check them.
i mean at the hockey school 2 years ago (i think) at the NIC, we had 14 to 16 year old i was the biggest there same height as i am now but a little lighter(ok alot) and i checked every single one of them they were fine about it as they new that adey and Pope was allowing it. non of them were hurt because they were far checks quite big checks maybe but all fair (that means on me too)
so whjy can't women they won't get hurt if they are taught how to check properly.
but one this i was surprised about both Paek and Adey told me to go out and start cheap shoting players lol
