Glad i didn't give them any of my hard-earned. Remember how the story of the boy who cried wolf ended. and if you followed the news you will find out that the sponsor who hadn't paid up has been bought and we now have that money as was previously promised. Also with the Push from the extra punters, and the associated extra income we are in a better position than we were. Also i would guess moving Phillips on will save us a HELL of a lot of wages!

Mmmm. If that rumour is true, then everybody who dug in their pockets to help the Blaze a month or so ago should be entitled to ask for their money back !
Especially as tonights crowd at the Skydome was a pathetic 1676.

Glad i didn't give them any of my hard-earned. Remember how the story of the boy who cried wolf ended. Top earning import and top earning Brit have gone to be replaced by a guy on peanuts, an ageing forward and the shop manager. Good bit of cash saved there.

All it would achieve would be weakening a very important part of the league set up - and i'd rather have a more stable sport in the long run than a refund on a ticket or two.

Abi
You obviously didn't buy a ticket to help them a month ago then.
Coventrys attitude stinks, they hold out the begging bowl one week, then spend other peoples hard earned, well intentioned money the next. Sorry, but in my opinion they shouldn't have been signing any more players this season, let alone somebody that cost them as much as Nylander has !
Then again, what did we expect from a club that hosted a charity game.........and then didn't give any of the money raised TO CHARITY !!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many tickets did you buy? None, purely because I wasn't in a position to at the time (unexpected car expenses). Got a problem with that? I can see where people are coming from on this, especially in these times, but i'd personally rather kiss goodbye to the cost of a ticket than lose a team. ANY team. Say Coventry refund people, and then subsequently go bust. What would that achieve apart from lining fans' pockets in the immediate short term? Players and off-ice staff would lose their jobs (which is 100x worse than normal given the current job market), Skydome would lose a tenant they probably earn a decent bit off in icetime, Coventry University lose students, Coventry as a city loses one of its more successful teams, the league loses a big player... People implying Coventry are greedy moneygrabbers in one breath and asking for a refund in the next are pretty hypocritical IMHO. Draw a line under it, be civil and just hope you keep beating them? That's whats more important here I reckon...

Each to their own Abi.
Unfortunately, i come from the school of thinking where, i would help anybody if they play by the rules and are seen to be doing the right thing in life etc.
In Coventrys case,i don't like their dealings on certain matters, such as the charity shield game, which is exactly why i did nothing to help them or bought a ticket etc either.
What happens next time if they get stuck for money, will they really expect people to have any sympathy again ? People like Danny Meyers and Brock Wilson alledgedly bought tickets to help them out, what sort of message does Coventrys recent signing send to those guys ?
Lets just hope Nylander doesn't score the winning goal at the weekend and be the guy that finally ends our title hopes. Now that would be a massive kick in the teeth !!!!!!!!

Don't mention the 'charity' shield game, have they announced the charity yet??? what, put the carpet back down???
I wouldn't give many teams in the league a penny, personally, i simply don't trust them.
This is just one example of why in a long long list. It's laugh able, i said at the time.
Would I rather see a team go under or see a team go under after donating money to them???

You didnt make a donation, yet are quite happy to criticise some of those that did.
