A good number of us play in the free Sportingnews.com fantasy NHL league along with fans from Manchester and Belfast. Unfortunately with the lock out we are all sitting on our hands with nowhere to play until that gets sorted out. It usually gets posted on here when John the chairman sets it up. I don't know of any British League's and certainly none of the quality of the Sportingnews.com offering. (By the way, Wigwam's normally rubbish at picking his team! )

there is one on NHL.COM called senior hockey league When you get to that page click on the senior hockey league, IT IS FREE, plus quite fun, but does NOT use real hockey players.

I prefer the Yahoo fantasy hockey over the sporting news game simply because I prefer drafting players(so a player will only appear on one team) over a salary cap game(were the same player can end up on many teams) But of course they need to end the lock out first Cheers

There's a British one on The Hockey Forum (THF) but it's probably a bit late to join now. I'm not sure of the rules for late starters. It is free though! It's not just EIHL so you have to pick a team with a minimum of 5 players from each of the EIHL, BNL and EPIHL. I was top last time I checked I was also top of the fantasy EIHL goon league on THF from the beginning of the season until this week. I've now dropped to second. Maybe I should apply for a coaching job. ;D twix

Before this season there was talk of us setting up a Fantasy league ran within this forum....
I happend to write in Excel a decent fantasy league but it is stat dependent for the scoreing. I can set it into motion if I am sent a fixed set of stats each week.(these will have to come in a useable format to save time in organising) I can set it up for any amount of Managers, any amount of temas (So we can include BNL or evan lower)
The Snag is that I'm not going to decide players values or set up the rules for points scoreing, or general rules for the Fantasy League. IF people want to take this role and people are intrested then I can set it up for any date (Giving time for people to pick teams, and that data to be entered)
SO.... If there is anyone who does (or Knows anyone who does) keep all the stats for the Entire Elite League and is able to send me an email once a week with all the data (Goals, Assists, PIMS's, general Goalie stats) AND Someone is prepared to do a rateing system for all the players (so that we can accocicate values) and Decide some rules for points scoreing / team selection then PM me and we can try and sort it out.
I am idealy looking for one of the mods to do the Latter job.
