"don't know how to do the linky thing"

right, I'm no computer expert, and there may be a way more intelligent way of doing this but i've seen this "not being able to do a linky thing" on many a thread & its not difficult... so just so people are aware. to do the so called "linky thing"

go to your internet browser where you type in the address of the website you want to go to.

highlight the address of the page you want to reference (you can do this by dragging your mouse over it with the left button clicked)

copy it (either Control C on the keyboard or edit menu /copy)

then go to your thread post and Paste (control v or edit paste)

Job done!!

perhaps there could be some mileage in posting a thread telling users how to use certain things on the forum?
