Me and my friedn arrive on thursday night as we are booked into some shoddy cheap model on the edge of town that costs about 30 Euros a night. Which I think is about 23 quid a night. Bargin.
It has a bed and a bathroom, don't need nought else really does it.

This hotel is far from the ice rink. The hotel ibis is just in quoted (and the bar ) but it is more expensive.

I'm also in Great Western Grand Hotel D'Univers. When is everyone arriving in Amiens, I'll get there about 5.20pm, unfortunately the others I'll be staying with don't arrive until about 10.00 pm. So if there is anyone else arriving early and they fancy meeting up for a few beers. Please let me Know. Otherwise I'll be sad Billy Nomates drinking on my own, as usual.

The holiday Inn is 2 kilometres away from the Arena in Amiens , the good news is that the bus and tram station apears to be across the road from the holiday Inn . but there is always a Taxi and with only 2km involved there is not much cost . if its dry and not too cold I will walk the 2km and take in the sights of Amiens , most of us do this Shopping around Nottingham on a SAT anyway , its like walking from canning circus to the Nottingham national Ice Arena via Derby road Maid Marrion way and Canal Street .
From the Holiday Inn go down Rue Des Jacobins follow this road as it bends to the left , as it joins a main road at Rue Des Beavars , look across the main road to Rue Caumartin , down this road to the arena .
The nearest Hotel (Ibis) is about 1/2 KM away from the Arena . This is by looking at the Multimap .com site which has all the road names on the map . there is a 1km scale margin on this map so easy to work out where you are away from the Arena .

Holiday Inn here too, over near the station on the other side of the city centre. The map made it look no more of a walk than the Royal Moat House to the NIC.

probably end up in a bus shelter after a few drinks I wouldn't recommend trying it - the gendarmes would take a dim view of such behaviour methinks!

As DoUrden currently owes me a beer, I only feel it fair to let him recuperate his loss and offer to let you know the score. He will of course only have a limited time before somebody else offers! Incidentaly, you cannot buy alcohol in the stadium
