There's an old saying about probability..... if you gave an infinite monkeys with typewriters an infinite amount of time, one of them would eventually produce the collected works of Shakespeare. Well - anyone know which particular dribbling retarded primate writes this drivel for the delectation and delight (? ?) of London fans? Link here : www.onionbagblog.com/I know it's not an official site or anything.... but with so much else associated with the Racers that seems to be so much more respectable (communication, Rink Rush sponsorship, etc) - doesn't this strike you as being particularly despicable? Some monkey down in London needs to get a life.

Yep not what you'd call a fair and unbiased match report. Their forum wasn't lots better with the suggestion that the ref's poor decisions and a lot of diving from our team, Caddy in particular helped cost them the game.
I think the chant of "dirty, dirty London" that came out in the third after Ivan was hacked down after he'd scored the winner got it about right.
Their owner Mr. Black seemed the only person whos view reflected the game.

London to Nottm in 1hr 20 mins by train? Wish I knew when that one left.
Hopefully, he/she will be on the train to Nottm next week. Toy Story is obviously his intellectual level!

This IMHO goes so far into the second category, it's ridiculous. I'm just imagining what would happen if someone posted something like that (with lots of smilies etc) on here.....instant flame war!

I thought it was pretty funny. He's obviously not being too serious. The self-deprecating humour counts for a lot in my book! I hope this onionbagblogger realises we’re talking about him and posts a comment or two on here. I think there’s a huge difference between this guy and smitherssteel! One question though - has he discovered a poorly publicised rocket train or something?

I'd say this blokes only written what passes for normal comment between fans about the opposing team. It's rather funny in my opinion.

*Holding onto the lead and Panthers pulled out all the cheap shots, which is no great surprise for a team that is so cheap to hire judging by the adverts for washing powder, feather dusters and tampons that are prostituted all over the 'proud' Panthers jersey.* What the hell is this all about???

I thought that was quite funny actually - anyway if you were so outraged by it - why publicise it by sticking onto a public forum? I think secretly Shaggy, you thought it was funny too.

Apologies if I offended anyone – that really wasn’t the intention, hence not plugging my blog around these parts.
Guilty as charged in that I hide behind a CRAP Match report. This gives me licence to write crap posts, get names and goal times wrong etc.
Congratulations on a fine victory – 2-0 up after the first and I really thought that the game was wrapped a up. A great comeback from Panthers.

Onionblagblogger Thought it was pretty funny meself, perhaps you could cut a little of the personal jibes and post a few more on here..... Nothing wrong with good comedy - lord knows we all need a laugh in these dark times. I for one will be checking your site to read the next instalment just in case the weight of public opinion goes against you and you can't post on here anymore.

Feel free to post links to future match reports on here onion, though to be safe best go with a 'Londoner's biased tongue-in-cheek outlook on the game - dont read if you're easily offended or of a nervous disposition' disclaimer! ;D

No offense taken here either despite the initial reaction. I'm right in thinking that numerous Onionbagblogger reports have featured on the Racers site? Had a good laugh at many in the past and time to take one on the chin!

On a slightly different note, I stayed over in the big smoke on Sunday night and picked up Mondays editions of Metro (the free London paper), and Mondays edition of the Evening Standard.
I found no mention of the game in either. The sports pages were just full of rubbish about Beckham. When is the British media going to realise that some of us (in fact many millions of us dont give a damn about Beckham or the 'mighty' England Football Team - remind me was it 1966 that they last won anything??).
I thought it was poor that the Racers game had not been reported.
When I got back to Nottingham, the Evening Post had almost a 1 page write up on the game, and a couple of good photos.
I think we are fortunate really with the press coverage (I do exclude the BBC in that comment - sorry Chris I know your banging your head against a brick wall!!).
Regards
HL

On a slightly different note, I stayed over in the big smoke on Sunday night and picked up Mondays editions of Metro (the free London paper), and Mondays edition of the Evening Standard. Crap paper anyway, but go on... I found no mention of the game in either. The sports pages were just full of rubbish about Beckham. When is the British media going to realise that some of us (in fact many millions of us dont give a damn about Beckham or the 'mighty' England Football Team - remind me was it 1966 that they last won anything??). 1) Football is our country's national sport, and the nation football team had a comprehensive victory over a good side. Did you think they'd only have one story on it? 2) And when was the last time Panthers won the league? You still support the team and would cause a right stink if Simms said anything about Panthers last winning the league in the 1950's... I thought it was poor that the Racers game had not been reported. But what did you expect? I'd imagine if the Racers were a winning team, then they'd get press coverage, but they're new & thus it'll take time for them to get any kind of media coverage I guess *shrug of shoulders* When I got back to Nottingham, the Evening Post had almost a 1 page write up on the game, and a couple of good photos. I think we are fortunate really with the press coverage (I do exclude the BBC in that comment I'd agree that the Post do a great job of coverage for the Panthers, but not the sport, how often do they mention the Lions?

I'd agree that the Post do a great job of coverage for the Panthers, but not the sport, how often do they mention the Lions? I do agree they do cover the Team well. But isn't it there logo across the back of my shirt ? As per the sport being covered on a National scale.... I agree totaly Anton, Football is the majority sport for this country. what is annoying is that there is no real attempt to cover the sport on TV (Sky or Terestrial) The BBC seems to cover enough "Lawn Bowls" to warent rescheduleing the afternoon's programing to get it in. Surely We could have a 1hr Show informing us of the UK game at all levels.
