He was the name that jumped out of the list at me. He's had a TKO win against Lepine too

T J Reynolds looks the best from the list IMHO, as i think although it'd be amazing, pelech is a bit unrealistic.

A stay home monster please Oh yes... big, hits like a freight-train, not a fighter, gets a nosebleed if he crosses the centre line. Don't care if he doesn't get a single point in the season, as long as he stops the opposition from doing so. Please Mr Neilson read Shaggys post and do as instructed. HL

Agree with Shaggy. I would like Corey to discuss the final D-man with K-wall. Let K-wall have a say on the kind of defenceman he would like infront of him.

Anyone speculate whether we have enough money/wage availability left for the last signing to be a top player or not ?
Or do you think we are on a limited budget for the last one

Number 1 defenceman to come. Last I heard there were 3 ex AHL defencemen in talks but that was few weeks ago.

I would think and hope that there is enough left in the pot for the last D man to be pretty impressive. I'm hoping for over 6ft, over 200lbs and under 32 years of age with a predominately AHL career.

I don't want our last D man to be crossing the the half way line to be honest.

with a profile that reads "A fairly large and strong stay-at-home defender. A good skater for a player of his size. Plays a simple game and is useful on one-on-one. Barinka is a good passer but has some offensive weaknesses." He's almost perfect! But yes we can dream.

To be fair i can see this last signing going one of two ways. All us fans expect a big stay at home Dman who hits like a train with a lot of experience... and corey will deliver this. OR us fans will expect too much and corey will get an average or poor Dman with not much experience straight from CHL or ECHL and Kowalski will be left hung out to dry again.
Lets hope Corey has got his head screwed on properly and he brings a good one out the bag!

Agree we need someone built like a brick outhouse but we know the Corey of the past may not think the same way as us!

Are you serious? We are in the small budget EIHL, not the KHL. Some of the players on this list have played in the NHL this year or last year while the majority of them are on 2-way NHL/AHL contracts
