So it looks like we are going with 3 import D again.
With this in mind the last import defender will need to be pretty good.
The forwards are already looking pretty potent with 2 more to sign so I think the last D man needs to be stay at home.
What are your thoughts and do you have any names in mind of who you would like?

Although i would hope that this last d-man is pretty good, i don't know if i'm looking forward to finding out or not, this can go either way for me, sign someone great, some will probably concede that ok, not happy with just 3 import d-men but this guy sure makes up for it, myself included, or sign a damp squib and this place will go into meltdown.
I would also say that they last d-man should be a stay at home one aswell.

My gut feeling (no other reason) is that it will be Van Hoof.
For me, he did a great job for us last season, exhibiting a great deal of composure and skill, and was unlucky to get injured when he did, so I wouldn't be sorry to see him return.

I'm with you, I also think it will be Van Hoof, didnt have long enough with us but absolutley loved it here.

I wasnt a big fan of Van Hoof, he always seemed a bit slow and lumbering..... not really a big hitter either.... i preferred Niklov...
I think we do need a stay at home D man, but someone with a physical presence, there is only really Lepine (and neilson at a push) with any size in the D

If I say it for long enough and scrunch my eyes up, my wish may become true.

Jon Awe would be perfect, i saw he'd left his team in Asia earlier in the week. Would be a perfect size, exceptional stats in the ECHL and spent a good chunk in the AHL too. Right age in coming into his prime. Also for his size id image he can stand up for himself and others but PiMs seem kept low which would help with the other two d-man probably getting over 100pims each.
He slot in perfectly.

A stay home monster please Oh yes... big, hits like a freight-train, not a fighter, gets a nosebleed if he crosses the centre line. Don't care if he doesn't get a single point in the season, as long as he stops the opposition from doing so.

Some good ones in there.
I like the look of Olson and Tuzzolino and McCue to a lesser extent.
Pelech looks very good but I doubt he would want to come still be young and a 1st round pick.

Ooo what about this bloke. Played on the same team as Jeff Heerema with both Binghamton Senators in 05/06 and then Frankfurt Lions in 08/09. www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=8289&lang=enI just made up a rumour in my head the he and our Jeff are best mates and he wants a year in England with him.
