Would be a quality addition IMHO Same team, different years. 2007-08 Elmira had Luke Fulghum, Bobby Robins and Ervins Mustokovs on the rosters. 2008-09 had Mike Sgroi and Guillaume Lepine. 2009-10 had Guillaume Lepine and Thomas Beauregard (David's brother)

Aye, Thomas put up better ECHL numbers than his brother (1.03 PPG vs 0.8) and is younger to boot. Depends if he's happy playing in Denmark / Norway, and if David puts in a good word.

After looking at both players stats properly, would really love both of them here! I just hope David can put in a good word about us to his brother!

I beleive they made enquiries about Thomas Beauregard last season with a view to having both brothers here. Would be a good addition if David decides to retire. Maybe he'll give it one more year?

My memory fails me but didnt Robbins play on the same line as Paul Deniset and Andrew Martin at the Giants.
I seem to remember that Robbins was injured for a period, but if he was in this line I can rmemeber it as being a pretty good one.

On points, yes. Penalty Minutes, no.
I wouldn't want someone who is capable of being well above a point-a-game-player dropping the gloves or backing up lepine. That back up role should be someone who is going to be around a point-per-game player, as bergin was.

I was and I was not talking about him dropping the gloves every game. Just that he would be a bit of a physical presence behind Lepine. I would not expect there to be that many fights in the whole league and I would not expect Robins to have more than 3 or 4 in the season. About a point per game? Robins had 47 points from 45 games in the EIHL with the Giants. I would say that is fairly close to being a point a game player... Also in Belfast he average last than 2 penalty minutes per game....

Wasn't he carrying an injury for the majority of that season though, if so he should be capable of a better points average than that and I don't really want the back up guy to be hitting close to the 200 pims mark really, that's all.

HL Correct - Robbins was on that line and did have a bad season injury wise (including Payette wiping him out on day 2 of the Belfast double header that season, before the puck had even dropped) but I think a lot of that line was based on Deniset and Martin's ability as much as anything else. Wouldn't be a bad signing but I think there is probably better out there.

Bobby Robbins would be a good signing for us I think, however I do not believe this rumour I don't think. He would give us secondary toughness and put up point a game at least. I just don't believe the rumour. He is a better player than Bergin, in my opinion, but not as good a fighter.
