Yes they were in the Belfast Shirts for the Bruins game. On the reverse there is a Panthers logo Just above the name (and relevant logo for all the other non Giants players)

If this comes to pass, GM will need to ensure that Belfast have a double-header weekend in Nottingham next season, and we should at least pick up 2 points on the Sunday night! Hit him hard on his first shift Saturday, and it could be all 4 points! ;D

Send him on his way.
Would much rather see Brendan Cook in a Panthers jersey - scores more goals and knows how to keep his mouth shut and out of the penalty box.

HL Jade got 12 more points and only 8 more PIMS then Cook. So Cook scores more goals, has a very similar PIMs for the season and less points.

Tactics V Galbraith are simple, get in his face, rough him up and annoy him, puts him off his game, gets too frustrated and goes missing

Galbraith had 89pims, Cook 38 pims. it may also be worth noting that Galbraith managed to get a few misconduct pens against himself - you dont win games from the penalty box. Interestingly also is that Cook played in every Braehead game (Galbraith missed 7 games for Panthers) and also Cook bagged 11 PPG and 3 SHG opposed to 5 and 1 by Galbraith. HL

I understood that Bellamy and Ryan were done deals. What about the line: Cook-Ryan-Bellamy Worth the season sicket money alone I think HL

Maybe Braehead would like to keep Cook as he was their top goalscorer and points scorer...

Why cant you see Bellamy returning? Thought he would have had offers from Europe/USA Bellamy struggled to get a team in America last year, so I think it would take more than 3/4 of a season for teams to look at him again.

Maybe Braehead would like to keep Cook as he was their top goalscorer and points scorer... Cook approached Nottingham last summer, but Neilson had already completed the roster. Neilson made Richardson aware of Cooks availability and Braehead subsequently signed him. I would suggest that maybe this time round, Panthers will have first refusal.. HL

Really? I knew about last summer but I would be surprised if that meant we had 1st refusal this year.
Also in Braehead Cook is Captain, Assistant Coach and top dog. I don't think he would be any of those things in Nottingham so maybe he would prefer to stay up there with Bruce.
Would like to have him back though one of my favorite players from our 08/09 season.

Some EIHL rule says you can't be named as a coach of any sort, AND a captain at the same time. Hughes in Dundee had to give up his captaincy because of it. Cook is one or t'other, can't be both.

The IIHF has this to say:
Now if that applies to Assistant coach is open to interpretation.

The IIHF has this to say: Now if that applies to Assistant coach is open to interpretation. As has already been stated this is the exact reason why Brent Hughes relinquished the Captaincy of Dundee halfway through the season. If Cook is Assistant Coach then he has to give up the Captaincy, however I would imagine that the way round this would be to name the bench coach as the official assistant coach leaving Cook eligible to Captain the side and assist with the coaching. Wasn't this how Bruce was allowed to be one of our alternates??

I understood that Bellamy and Ryan were done deals. What about the line: Cook-Ryan-Bellamy Worth the season sicket money alone I think HL Just a quick question for you HL Why remove Lacho from this line if Ryan and Bellamy both return it certainly did the business last season for us? Also something to float out there we all seem to have forgotten how much the line of Cook - Myers - Galbraith did for us a couple of season's ago when Cook had a career year, now I'm not a Galbraith fan but those 3 certainly had chemistry. Reignite that and you could have Lachowicz - Ryan - Bellamy Cook - Myers - Galbraith Clarke - Levers - Import 3 very good lines if you have a decent import or even the rumoured "luxury player" on that other wing, you wuldnt be able to say any were the top line just 3 solid lines and room for that all important 4th import D man that we're all craving meaning we could also roll 3 lines of D. That to me would be a solid base for a championship challenge, even with the retention of Galbraith. As much as it pains me to say it the line I have him on there would make up for his lack of defensive coverage and i think his points total will go through the roof as who does an opposition defence cover with Jade and Cook on the ice at the same time? Of course the big IF would be Myers returning in this whole scenario for me!!
