Absolutely stoked the team Pulled the win off, though I think without the two calls and the dirty scrappy LUCKY goals we would have been beaten. Great result but I think the best team lost. A big well done to Cardiff. Brilliant performance by steve Lee who I think will be the unsung hero of this game.
You create your own luck in sport... Fantastic team performance to just never give up! Brilliant way to end what was a disappointing season in the league! Well done panthers you've proved a lot of people wrong
Well done Panthers, what a great way to come back from the nightmarish time between the end of November and January. This squad has shown great character to recover to claim two trophies. IMO we were far from the most talented team in the league but guts and determination have shone through. Congratulations Panthers, a proud night to bleed black and gold!
Goodbye to the great rinks of the past, gone but not forgotten.[br][br]Durham Ice Rink 1940-1995.[br]Lower Parliament Street 1939-2000.[br]Wales National Ice Rink 1986-2006.[br]Streatham Ice Rink 1931-2011.
Panthers deserved the win. Never stopped despite continually going behind, showing plenty of character. The Devils played well but once we got in front they cracked, as shown by Weller and Finnerty both taking dumb penalties which effectively killed their challenge late on.
Thought Hanson had another good match, let the game flow and didn't call the low grade niggly stuff. Helped to make it a good final.
Neville Chamberlain, the original happy clapper.[br]I'd say he got it wrong.[br][br]
We've had some tough times this year, and much of the criticism directed at the team in January was thoroughly justified, but credit must go to the them for turning it around like they have done these past few weeks. I'm so happy at the moment. ;D
Five trophies in five seasons now. The big one not amongst them of course, but none too shabby really!
Congratulations to Corey and the team. Marvelous. Absolutely marvelous.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
I've actually convinced myself that the playoffs is more than just winning 4 games, you have to play 54 games to qualify to, so it is a massive achievement! I'll be going to work with a huge grin tomorrow

Awesome week-end - awesome games - fantastic result - dont you just love playoff week-end - 5 more years at NIC even better - Clan fans were brilliant (apart from supporting the wrong team) - only one down side for the week-end was a so called Blaze fan in block 13 row U who obviously has a major problem with dealing with defeat, even though her team went out in the quarter finals, If you are reading this I hope you are now ashamed - had no problem as usual with any other fans - Hope that you watched it David Simms
What makes it feel that bit sweeter is that everybody in that arena other than the Panthers fans were against us. No one like us, we don't care as Millwall fans would say.
After praising the Cardiff fans yesterday, have to say I was a little disappointed with the way they conducted themselves after the game. Very minimal applause for us from them whereas we gave them a very good send off.
...but oh well, I'll get over it. I shall now celebrate with a few beers before watching it all over again on the replay on sky.
