I remember on panthers radio this season him saying he'd probably end up in Cardiff at some point.

The Myers to Cardiff rumours just won't go away. I fear this will be the season he returns home.

Well yeah obviously, although last time he hadn't gone and strengthened one of our rivals rosters but I see your point.

Latest rumour: Galbraith to be announced tonight as re-signing. this wouldn't suprise me if true, given Corey has re-signed, his numbers can't be argued with, however, i was hoping Corey would show a bit of strength in charater though and replace him.

I'm confident Matt Myers will return. Best Brit in the league IMO.
Give him what he wants, get him signed up.

Whilst I agree, I just think Jade's a bit of an enigma and could be a great player for this club. He just needs to focus on ice hockey rather than puck bunny and he'd be unbelievable. Saying that, I know he was more gutted than anyone to be benched for that Giants game and there was a lot more going off off ice in his life that could be affecting how his second part of the season went. By no means a justifaction for any of his antics, just going from what I've been told.

Of all the imports to be announced as Returning, at this stage of the Season ticket renewals, I can't see it.

I think he gets too much slack for his numbers. We can get someone to replace him - there's more than enough players in the world.

Why has no one else got anyone like him them then mark. Dont get me wrong I still think he should go but there is still a part of me that hopes he signs. Maybe it's just to see that forehand backhand of his again. No one else in the league has hands like jade. Pelle and legue and others may have better hockey brains and better shots or whatever but jade has more skill.

I'd sign Legue in a heart beat.

Plus, there's 3 teams ahead of us who didn't need a Jade.

From Sheffield Telegraph www.sheffieldtelegraph.co.uk/sport/sheffield-sport/ice_hockey_why_rob_dowd_quit_ice_champs_sheffield_steelers_1_3276596* Meanwhile, Ben Simon has not ruled out the possibility of playing in the Elite League for another club, The Star can reveal today The former Steelers player-coach quit the league champions last week because he felt that the player budget was too small to cope with his salary and those of the rest of the squad. On the day he quit, owner Paul Ragan declared that Simon was pursuing ‘asprirations’ in north America. But Simon told The Star: “I have got nothing lined up and I would not restrict myself to one country. If there is a good opportunity whether it is Great Britain or anywhere else, I would entertain it. “No matter what else has been said, I am not limiting myself to any specific region.” Simon has considered delaying going back into the coaching side of the game. “It might be fun to go back to being a player training, playing hard, respecting the coach in charge and playing whatever role he was assigned” he said

Looks as though there is some basis for being worried about Matt coming back, according to Corey in the Post today he is potentially looking for a move to Europe. I do hope we have a back up plan! With one less import we need our Brits to be scoring and Matt would leave a big hole to fill.

Haven't we usually signed more players by now.... isn't it kind of worrying that not even any more brits have signed?
