looks like its going to be a very poor crowd tonight, but not really surprising to say its Tuesday, nothing can be won tonight and there are no season tickets.

+1 this team are well capable of that. 100% behind the boy's tonight, lets make some noise. Can't make tonight - missus is having a major op today Block 16 will be ultra quiet without me, I fear! All the best to her GuinessMan

Best team lost, but we stuck at it.
K-Wall was almost 'Robber-esq'!

I dont buy this "the best team lost" thing. The best team is the one that wins at the end. They outshot us but SOG mean nothing if you dont put em away. We had very few chances and put them away.

A pretty solid defensive display from Panthers tonight, yes Giants had all the possesion and most of the chances but i thought we were excellent defensively (bar the odd moment)..K-Wall nothing more needs to be said...
Lacho could of scored but somehow missed...agonising! The Giants 'non' goal looked like it hit the post and rolled on the line before being cleared...and to be honest only Shields seemed to appeal for it.
Very poor crowd tonight,i know it was a non season tickets tuesday game and Notts were playing but still for a cup final was rubbish..3,007

A very good performance. Thought Carson was trying to make it a tighter scoreline towards the end, as he called some very soft penalties against us.
K-Wall. Immense.
Roll on next Weds.

Not bad for a mid-week no ST game. Sheffield have it that they have a SELL OUT for tomorrows game against Belfast but that is at Ice Sheffield. though. How many does IS hold not 3007 I bet?

The attendance was so disapointing - we play a nothing game against the Steelers and drew more fans. Needed to be advertised better IMO

Really enjoyed that. Have NO IDEA why K-wall didn't get MOM. Not taking anything away from Lacho or the rest of the boys who played a good game. I just really think K-wall was the reason we didn't lose by a margin.

Still shocking for a cup final though I wouldn't say shocking, I would say poor, especially considering the circumstances. 3rd home game in 6 nights, mid-week and non season ticket game + its the first leg, if we had the game on the 16th I reckon we could have got 4-5000. Still its poor for the cup final but doesn't really affect the panthers as practically all the money goes to the elite league

What does KWall have to do to get MOM, I couldnt beleive they gave it to Lacho and I don't think the majority of the crowd could either. SUdafix the match sponsors certainly fixed something. if it wasnt for KWall be would be 5 or 6 down going into Belfast. Very poor crowd I thought it was the lowest Ive seen there all season, smallest shots on goal we've ever had aswell but at the end of the day defensively we were good and a wins a win just got to hope its enough for next week.

So giants want to create more tension at the O or what? How did they lose. That mist have taken effort to lose that game.

You know... I'll take a 2-goal lead into the second leg and smile... It has to be said - Belfast are without a doubt the most offensively-gifted opposition we've gone up against, bar none. Their fast, coordinated plays were a joy to watch - or they would have been if I hadn't been bricking it most of the game! But credit to the Panthers... soaked it all up and dished it right back - more effectively, too. And then when we had the two-goal lead... a switch to defensive play, locking them down - and it worked! That wouldn't have happened a couple of months ago. K-Wall... what can you say? After that really soft one he let in to start with (head in hands time) he was absolutely unbelievable. Although Lacho had a good game again (barring a few too many intercepted passes) I couldn't believe that K-Wall didn't get MoM either. Certainly got it as far as everyone I've spoken to believes. There was one point in the game where I was getting seriously worried... 5 or 6 incidents in quick succession where there was a total breakdown in communication & teamwork... players checking teammates (twice!), passes to players not paying attention, passes to players heading off on a line change, etc etc... it was starting to look like a flashback to our total collapse after Xmas. But credit where credit is due... they pulled themselves out of it and tightened things up again. Becasue if they hadn't... Belfast would have been heading back home with a 2-goal lead, not us - despite K-Wall! Is Rick Strachan having a positive effect? One has to wonder... Thought Carson was moderately poor (though far from his worst)... much better than Darnell on Sunday, who was utterly pathetic. Well played, Panthers. A pity about the low attendance, but it's explainable. Still... those who could have come along but chose not to missed a treat...

They should hand out a sedative on the way in to games like that, I know we won but we looked like we were short handed for virtually the entire third period, the attacking lines looked out of sorts save for little goal bursts by matty's line and how on earth they gave mom to Murphy who could have slept for large portions of the game and then to lacho who had an untypically poor performance when Killer kept us in it after the sloppy opener...........words fail me.
Not sure how Angel got back out there after his fall, made of tough stuff obviously.
Will 2 goals be enough as a lead...........lets hope so!
