Its got to be David Clarke after this weekends performance. If he keeps this form up, then I'd agree that he'd be our MVP, but I still think that Cruickshank will be our MVP over the course of this season

Calle Carlsson by a country mile! Not had a bad game so far, consistantly great.

Thanks, Fraggle !
My immediate thought was Calle Carlsson. Then I found out he wasn't even on the list and, as I read down the posts, no-one else mentioned him.....until you.....and now me !
Also impressed with Ivan.
On a negative note (sorry !).....Cadotte's still improving (I know that's not negative, but he's still a bit to go), and as for Tvrdon, as you may be aware from my previous posts, I'm not a fan (but could be convinced).

I concur with you BBHawk ... on all three.
But Calle .... I've always been a bit 'meh' on Calle in the past, take him or leave him .... didn't think he was anything special ...
But this season ....?
Wow! Everything about the guy is class .... every aspect spot on. Boy has captaincy suited him, he's impressed me so far.
I refuse to vote on MVP as the jury's still out, but Calle would be a contender.

Marek Ivan is shaping up even better than I'd expected him to.
David Clarke is of to a flyer and playing very well.
Curtis is only playing 500 hockey for me at the moment - some great saves but too many mistakes.
Calle is playing the best hockey I've seen him produce and is doing a great job.
MVP goes to Ricci though - he is the foundation for the team to build on. He doesn't often catch the eye unless you look for him as he seldom seems to be involved in dramas - just makes defence look easy.

just makes defence look easy. Feel that he is our Stancok/Peak this year CC what a change of his game because of the C Clarke best British player Ivan, best imported player at the mo But l am going for Clarke for MVP important goals and many of them so far.

Feel that he is our Stancok/Peak this year His size and strength give him an advatage over Robert - he can hold people off and tie them up without raising his arms or stick - hence the low PIM count.

True, but you did'nt see Stanny or Jimmy in the box that often. But hear what you are saying about the strength of Ricci,MP. True D player only has to get better

But l am going for Clarke for MVP important goals and many of them so far. It's a tough choice, IMO, between David & Marek. I've gone for the latter simply on the impact he's had in 7 games so far, ie 5+5 It'll be interesting to see if Clarke can stay healthy this year & then show us what a fully fit David Clarke is all about, as we weren't able to see that fully last year

Has to be Clarkie. He does the simple things right and is the only what I would call natural goalscorer we have.

For me it is Ricci. The guy just oozes class. Quietly goes about his business with no fuss and no bother.

Not directed at ou I might add, but that's how many pro-Paek fans described Jimmy, but others were critical. Scott's performances are one of the reasons why I have decided to keep my Rochester jersey. Which one do I wear, Rochester Ricci#2 or St John's Kalmikov #18

Everyone has a favourite Steve, and I think we all know who yours is I did a wee bit of digging when I heard we were after this guy, and the AHL fan I spoke to recommended Scott highly. I can say that he's been what I hoped for & what I was told

I think Tvrodon (spelling ) should get it... Whenever ive seen him, he always works so hard. Makes great space around the goal mouth too, he'll soon find his feet . Then just watch the goals pour in

I've not voted because I believe this is a Panthers poll for Panthers supporters, but that doesn't stop me passing comment ;D.
I would say your MVP would be the player you'd miss most if he was out injured.
The netminder would be the obvious choice here, but I'm not really counting him because there's no real competition for netminding places in EIHL teams.
Cruickshanks stats appear to indicate that he's had a very average start to the season, so I don't believe he could be classed as your MVP.
Clarke has made a very good start to the season, but I think your team would still be nearly as strong if he or any of your forwards were out injured, you have plenty of depth in that department.
Therefore my choice would have to be a defenceman...... step forward Mr Ricci.
Ricci looks like a class act from what I've seen so far, I think if he picks up an injury you guys will really struggle because your other defenceman appear to be distinctly average.
Regards
Doom

Ricci and carlsson are both class acts this season
But Magdosko and Krulis are not, and that could cost us this season, as we have to spilt up our best two defenceman just so we can stand a chance of not being scored on . Now if we could of kept SR and CC together it would of helped us no end, but i don't think Magdosko and Krulis are good enough to be left with out one of the other two.
