If anyone but Corey picked the team, i think he would resign. I would!
I think he's said a few times he picks the players.

He also usually says "Thanks Boss" to GM at the end of various interviews but it doesn't mean he likes doing it !

We need to get the guy who coached this to have a go on our power play.

Don't post very often but here goes ... My thought on the game, as has been said we lost it in the first 10 minutes.
Poor D will be our downfall yet again, how many times did we back off the puck carrier as they stormed our zone. Danny that's aimed at you! On many occasions we let them skate down k-Walls throat. Did anyone else notice the Clans D blocking shots all night, we seemed afraid to do the same. I realise it's all to easy to get drawn into an interference penalty when the opposition is on the rush, but Matty seemed to flatten the puck carrier on the blueline more than once ... more of this kind of physicality needed gentlemen.
In general though I think this is possibly the best team I've seen since being a season ticket holder. Cure the laziness leaving the ice (the rules changed guys, adapt for fudges sake) ... Tighten up at the back and get Penner throw his weight around (and by that I mean check the crap outta people ... Keep ya elbows down though fella!) and we're in good shape. Oh and K-Wall, squeeze ya lads together harder bud, keep that 5 hole shut!
Here endeth the ramblings of the uneducated hockey fanatic.

This guy is perfect for sitting in front of the netminder and causing havoc... which, all credit to him, he certainly seemed to do on Saturday when he was put out there on the PP. Thing is... surely when we have someone like that we should take advantage of it by letting off more (admittedly lower-percentage) shots, and then drive in on the net with at least one more player so as to hopefully catch rebounds, take second or third shots, etc etc... I like to see a big guy in front of the net. The problem with this on Saturday was that Perras hardly gave up a reboubnd all night - he won it for Braehead imho. But if its at the expense of a good shooter, and you then set up to use the shooter whats the point. Theres a reason a team will do something a certain way, nothing is ever as obvious as it looks from the stands. Breahead did a great job on the PK and it was easy to see their PK setup and system, and they didnt change so I dont see how we couldnt throw something together to play a different way. Fair enough the guys practice playing a certain way every day at training but it was frustrating to watch. I'll be going through what won the game for the Clan with the Phantoms guys next training . Its not that easy on here.

IMO Braehead did to us what we did to Belfast. They outworked us. Enough said.
