I think it will be a forward for a forward straight swap, would make more sence. Ideally, a face of winning, free scoring winger ;D Wingers don't take face-offs. That's the centres job The only problem with dropping Neilson is that the only other right sided defenceman we have are Moran and Meyers. Blaz played left side last year. Moran & Rees? Meyers & Blaz? Poor old Lindsay! My money's on Blaz - hopefully for a decent centre.

In other words Dan Tessier 2

Complete spin to get bums on seats again.......... Given the reported comments of Ellis in today's NEP, I tend to agree with you blackandgold: "I've looked at perhaps 20 possible signings but I refuse to bring in any for the sake of it, who are no better than we already have."[/i] doesn't sit comfortably alongside Thursday's NEP Ellis quote that: "Some decent names have been cropping up and offers have gone out to a couple."[/i] Work that one out!!! WIN NOT SPIN - who said that??

doesn't help when you consider (pre-season) Ellis admitted to not seeing some of these players on the ice, before he signed them, instead going on the word of players and coaches, some of them are now being found out.
Neilson was quoted as being too good for this league, yeh right, so which league would he look good in, EPL?
Netminder, D man and a forward, not much for my christmas list

Whats the big deal with Cruickshank? If people are so bothered about Cruickshank move to Basingstoke. We should have faith in our netminder Lindsay, i know its hard with the results we have been having but it seems to every area we are poor. We need some serious changes , i aint so bothered about Lindsay at the momment. Get rid of the players which are suppose to putting the puck back into the net.

Should never have signed him (Lindsay), we're (supposedly) a big club, Cruickshank has been the best goalie in the league for 2 seasons (fact), but we choose not to re-sign him....why? Money shouldn't be an issue, so why?
Still, can't solely blame Lindsay; Moran, Stevens, Nielsen, Emersic, Myers, Ferrara, Petricko & to a lesser degree Simoes & Shmyr can all go for me.

We will carry on losing and will be a mid table team at the end of the season.
Brandin Cote is doing well over in the ECHL: 14pts in 11 games. Wish he was still here. Would have him above Stevens anyday.

Simoes is holding together the third line, which is probabbly the worst in the league. simoes would be much better used on either of the top two lines. just look how many chances he works him self and his other line mates eg myers and ferrera. hes on that lines because ellis obviosly doesn't trust anyone else to hold that line together simoes would create so much space for clarke and stevens shmyr should just go out next game and just start offering everyone on the ice. 1 fight this season about 6 points, and not alot else other than weaking our first line big time

We need to make major changes, this team is crap.
Cut Lindsay. Cut Neilson, Cut Petricko, Cut Stevens, Cut Moran, Cut Ferrara.
Whoever suggests cutting Simoes is clearly high.

lets try and get 2 or 3 players that can score the odd goal on 48 shots

No real backing for this but heard twice on Saturday night that Panthers are bringing in a Finnish sniper, probably at the expense of Blaz, also heard a worrying comment that Simoes wants away!

Shmyr has had four fights this season, and offered many many more.
im sure you would be the first to complain if he took loads of penalties because all he did was try get players to fight

we need something to help the team right now! we need to get rid of lindsay because he cant keep his legs closed! we should have kept cruckshank! or stole him before basingstoke took him back. but yeah i agree to get rid of blaz or rod.

To be honest having seen both games soba this weekend id have to say weve still got the ability to get back on form... if we cut EL. sorry but he just doesnt cut it, no way. Theres no defending him- he got left out to dry a couple of times but got beat, every now and then you need your goalie to bail you out and hes not doing that.
If you go thro and look at everyones roles on the team the only person really not performing is Petricko and with him on the first line with Mcaslan and Stevens last night he really needs to prove himself now no excuses. Ok so Blaz,Shmyr and Simoes arnt putting up points but they arnt the natural scorers.I wudnt be disappointed if Neilson was cut but to be honest we should have enough balance and enough hard working 2way forwards to carry a D man whos out of position a lot.
The difference between a 2point weekend and a 4 IMO this weekend was EL, and thats the difference between challenging for a title and not
