I wish him all the luck in the world, as it's the only thing that can help him win

So close, unlucky. Haven't seen the fight yet, was it a good one? Close? 50-45 from one of the judges states otherwise. GSP took it to the ground and dominated every round. its a damn shame, as i wanted hardy to win, but GSP extinguished any fire that Hardy had by taking it to the ground and out working him. dull, fight. but only because it wasnt a stand up slug fest. GSP showed excellence on the ground though. if Dan kept it to a stand up fight i reckon with his striking, he could have won it. particularly happy that he didnt tap out on both occasions. he's definitely got iron in his sack. very impressed by that. hero.

Close? 50-45 from one of the judges states otherwise. Close in the respect it went on points, not by knockout/submission. GSP is regarded as pound for pound one of the best fighters around and Dan did well to hang in there by all accounts. He's young though and has time on his side. It's a great advert for Nottingham to get one of our own out onto the world stage. How cool would it have been if he had worn a Panthers shirt to the ring...

He is 29, so not really young. He put up a good fight though, and his escpaes from both the kimura and the arm bar were awesome.

Absolutely gutted Dan has been found out with his ground game, one of the most entertaining strikers in the game. Johnson just sat on him for the three rounds and thats all she wrote. Maybe heading over the strikeforce after UFC bought them?

I think you maybe right, having lost 3 in a row if he does get another fight in the UFC it surely would be a must win fight to stay there.
Until he develops a better ground game i can see the UFC slipping away from him.
