I have just looked at the website for seats and just to let everyone know that there are only a hand full of seats left in Blocks 1 and 15 so if you guys are thinking of coming down. book now before it is all to late. But also just to let you guys know that all unsold season tickets seats will go on sale to the general public on the 24th Surely they are already on sale to the public as we have bought them? What i am saying is that if all the non season tickets seats sell out which they think they will, then you guys will have another chance to get some seats that are not sold when the season tickets seats are put up on general sale

Online booking suspended for Challenge Cup final
The Cardiff Devils have suspended online booking for the cup final on 28th Feb until Sunday 21st Feb
The Cardiff Devils have a clear message for their fans - get your cup final tickets ASAP !
The Nottingham Panthers have been allocated blocks 1 and 15 for this match , along with 100 standing tickets. This allocation has almost completely gone already, with the Panthers' supporters club requesting an additional 100 tickets. Advance sales are already the strongest of the year but if Devils fans do not book their tickets early they may well miss out on the biggest game of the season.
This game is certain to sell out and whilst season ticket seats are on reserve until Weds 24th, we are urging all our fans to book their seats to ensure they are not disappointed. The Panthers recently took 500 fans to Belfast, and many hundreds would be willing to make the drive to Cardiff.
In light of these developments, we have temporarily suspended online booking until all our fans have had ample chances to make it to the box office and secure their seats.

Im sure they probably will sell out however,if they don't, the Devils might have some egg on their face coming back to Panthers and saying ok you can have whats left ?
Thats got to be a first for a few years,a british club turning fans away early doors from buying tickets, even if they are the away fans.

So,if you are a Panthers fan and drive to Cardiff before the 21st Feb,can you buy a ticket ?
It's not a very clear statement from the Devils.

I see the removal of the online booking facility as a way of stopping panthers fans buying seats in the home blocks before the Devils fans.

They don't really care who they sell to,. when you ring them up they just ask you if you know where you want to sit. Removing the onling booking facility is designed to stop panthers fans buying elsewhere than the away blocks,.. but it isn't watertight.

I’d prefer to have played Sheffield as I think they’re the weaker of the two opponents we could have faced but it’s a final which the Devils are in. Whoever we play I will be looking forward to it. Hopefully this will be s start of a rivalry between the clubs, something which has been missing for some time now ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Bring back the Redskins ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Interestingly the Devils recent form reads played 7 won 5 lost 2 GF 25 GA 13. The Panthers on the other hand reads played 7 won 2 lost 5 GF 24 GA 25.

I have a feeling this'll be massively close, the Devils are having a fantastic run at the moment

Yeah it should be a cracking tie. I just hope we are within touching distance after the 1st leg. Hopefully we will be ok with a good following down there.

roughly how many panthers fans will be there ? I'm pretty sure the Devils said that 300 tickets had gone to Nottingham already when the online embargo was put on. I know that Nottingham fans have secured tickets since,.. There will be as many there as can get tickets,.. 400 ??

Did open another thread about this but, if anyone requires a lift we have 2 seats available, share expenses.
(Modified for spelling. Specs are upstairs)

Tickets now available to buy online again. When i just checked 2 minutes ago there was 3 single seats left in the away blocks (1 & 15). A fair few more left in the blocks next to them though. Tickets..

Carson confirmed as ref for Sunday's 1st leg. I'm glad we have got one of the more experienced refs. Hopefully he will be able to keep a level of control if it does kick off.

More impaortanty hes reffing both the games this weekend, so if anything did boil over and possibly message sending from saturday night, he should show some common sense and understand the situation better

CARSON! ohh dear that could dent our hopes before the puck is even dropped Why? At least he calls it as he sees it. I'd take him over Smith, Hicks or Thompson any day.

I'm another one happy to have Carson especially against a team that plays a more physical game. As Rumpole says, Carson calls what he sees. Hanson lets too much go for my liking

exactly if theres one ref who would prevent the devils from cheap shotting or extreme rough stuff then its carson like like it or not, Hicks, Hanson etc the game would easily boil over

As long as it's not against Shuff then Carson is best bet. My money is on it being Hanson for the final, however.
