We havent won for bloody ages! There were no signs tonight that we looked like changing that, and I dont see why it will be any different tomorrow. I think it will be a case of whoever sinks to even lower depths will go out.

Just got back. I suppose we ought to be thankful that Sheffield simply aren't good enough to punish us for that woeful display, something that they'll hopefully be regretting come 9.30 tomorrow night! I hope we mange to play for the entire 60 minutes tomorrow and not just 5 minutes of the second and 10 minutes of the third. Not impressed tonight, not impressed at all!

But it was a jolly so that was ok. Anyway, this tie ain t over, tomorrow is another game and day

That could have been a lot worse. After how badly we played I'm pleased we've only come away one goal down. Had the Steelers been any good they would have walloped us, thankfully they weren't. We really have to do better tommorow. On recent evidence though I'm not sure we will though. Obviously hope I'm wrong tommorow night. Terrible atmosphere, terrible game, terrible night.

Well....1st and 2nd were woeful the third was a vast improvement but it couldnt get any worse really could it Boniface made a couple of awful calls, one on Shmyr for a 'slash' when he ignored the two shuff players that cross checked him after the whistle. And that 'hooking' call on myers was laughable. Can somebody please explain why boniface did not give a 2min penalty when the puck was fired clean out of play in the 3rd? Even the Lino told him. But Nigel was not our enemy tonight we were. We had no idea for the first two periods, dump, dump and more dumping. we upped the tempo in the third and it showed. We are lucky shuff are not the standard of the blaze or giants otherwise we would be well and truely buried Lehman made some important saves for them again (why do we always play hot keepers?) As for us, Neilson, he was shocking....get rid and use his wages to bring a forward in. Axe Stevens and use his wages to bring a steady d man in. Because the points production from stevens is very poor as is petricko's but he, i feel, contributes more. Comedy moment....Petricko pushing Tessier over when he (and 4 other steelers) decided to surround Shmyr. Tess got up and looked well miffed! A funny moment on what, for me, was a dour game Andy

Just got home and seen the score not surprised we lost pretty much expected it good job I've had a lot of alcohol it stops me from feeling let down even more, Still can't fathom out why we have gone from being a great team top of the league to a pile of horse manure in such a short space of time

You were a shadow of the side that played us off the park in the first 2 last week. TBH I didn't think we were that much improved, you sank to the lowest denominator! I can answer the question about the puck going out, the rule has changed again this week. It is a penalty only if shot from the defencive zone. You out shot us, but TBH most were just shots from nowhere, and when you did have a good chance Jody came to the fore. I thought the £20 notes were brilliant!! On his car and waving them when he got his 1 penalty of the night, nice work Ted I agree with all who are saying it seemed a bit flat, just didn't seem to spark tonight, must have used it all last week. You may ave the edge tomorrow, I always like to finish at home in these type games, especially as there is only 1 in it. Ah well, see what tomorrow brings.

I believe the incident where the puck was fired out WAS from well within the steelers zone when we were on 5 on 4. Is it because the steelers were shorthanded?

Sheffield are no good, we're worse and we've got a huge job to do to get through to the next round.
Our defence is an utter shambles, the third goal being a perfect example. I counted 6 unchallenged passes in our zone before a clear shot is allowed and an unchallenged rebound on the doorstep is given up. As soon as we can, we need to cut some pylons such as Neilson and get in somebody who will shore up our back line. Going forward we are more than capable but we're letting too many shots in on Lindsey.

We have got to start putting out a power line on the power plays not just keep rotating thge lines.
Its no good playing Cooke & Farrera when we are on the power play, we have got to get a power play line sorted & quick.
Sorry but I can't see were our goals are gonna come from now Sean is out unless Clarke can up his game for tonight.

We must be on about different scenarios nem. As the one im refering to was right infront of our block...I dont think the ref's have even got a handle on the rule to be honest

If it was the one where Thomas cleared the pucked then it was definately in the defensive zone. There was a glove go up to try and catch it, if he didn't touch it then it should have been 2 minutes.

Fair do's Shig, didn't see them all. This is the rule they keep playing with, at the start of the season it was any player from anywhere! how bloody stupid was that? This seems to be better, if they can get a grip of it. The other call I liked last night was the icing against us with about 3 minutes left, where our guy was a good 2 feet over the red line never mind the blue one!! - insane. Thouht the messages where funny you lot kept sending to the screen, some good uns there; thanks for the financial input to our club!! LOL.

After looking at the team stats last week on my return from Coventry ,Clarke and McAslan have scored 25 goals between them , the rest of the team have 17 , that includes Nielsons 6! this is just like the 3 imports system of the 80's. It can't go on or the seasons over. this team needs a spark and quickly.

I personally thought a draw would have been the fair result for both teams (neither deserved to win), as each team had a few chances. I get the impression at times were just running on autopilot. No-one can or wants to skate the puck in, so we dump, dump, dump and dump again. But worse is the amount of times we manage to steal possesion, then lose it straight away. We seemed to get it together in the 3rd a bit more. Towards the end we even managed a one-timer! (haven't seen us manage one for a while). I don't think you can point the finger (well I don't want to) at individual players. This is because I think quite a few of our players are "confidence" players, who are lacking now confidence. So if we can get a win it'll do wonders for the team. A quick few points for Sheffield - Well done on getting the pope's blessing to become "god's team" ;D
- Have you thought on lobbying the management to play a few "modern day" songs, may help get a few more fans through the door. (plus IMO Gary Glitter songs shouldn't be played at all, especially my gang!)
- Lobby the management to keep the ladies playing in the hot tub in every period, as when the entertainment level is low they at least add to the show!
Roll on tonight for a confidence boosting victory, as eveything is still up for grabs! (it has to come soon! )

What a waste of time last night was. After last weeks game I had been looking forward to last night all week only to see one of the most boring games I have ever seen. Where was the emotion, hardly any hitting. Why didn't we send a message to Gustavson after the hit on McAslan? Clean hit or not you cant have guys taking runs at your star players. I hope tonights game is better. I cant cope with losing to the Steelers 3 times in a week. The people who where saying that the fight last saturday was pointless, Do you think the atmosphere would of been as dead last night if we had seen a fight after 50 seconds?

From McAslan, it was a clean hit, he said this on the radio last night pre game. If we had hit back last night, then I am sure Bonifarse would have put players in the box. Then we would have been on the back foot for sometime. Prehaps they did not give enough free tickets away to make the atmosphere better. Those kids do shout, when told to.. ;D

They don't really push the free tickets for games against your guys, IMO they should. Fill the place to the rafters, get the freebies in, pack the place out and put on a spectacle like last week at your place. That will deffo bring people back I think.
I also think it would lead to a better game as well, the players would buzz of a massive crowd. It is these games they should be throwing tickets at, not a wet wednesday against Bison.

As the one im refering to was right infront of our block...I dont think the ref's have even got a handle on the rule to be honest The one if front of your block was a backhand from Thomas that hit one of your players before going out. It's not a penalty if it's deflected out only if shot directly out.
