Kozak's behavior was on a par with the most disgusting I have ever seen. there was at least 10 kids below 8yo in the rows below me and it happenned right in front of us.

Any nearer we would have been covered in blood!

What a ass. Carson needs to come down hard on this!!!

Theres no need to bring that quote to this topic, i know Ian in real life and we play on the same hockey team, we're merely bickering, get over it.

Solid performance though I thought. First period took what seemed like forever but it flowed abit more in the 2nd and 3rd.

4PT WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!! GET IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tonight¡¦s game was a very entertaining imo, good hits, good fisticuffs, good goals and the right result.

Well done Bergin, a goal, few assists and dropped the gloves everything you would expect from him this season, he took a bomb of a punch which he did well to keep standing from, he did get the red mist in the first period but then who didn¡¦t.

Molin was quality imo, he was always the first forward back on defence he showed good puck handling skills, he skated tirelessly a very good effort.

Toneys again was very solid looking like the stay at home d we need.

Well done lacho, bullas and neil again very good work from the lads, making very good use of the ice time they are getting.

Imo cook was trying a little too hard to impress which he doesn¡¦t need to do, that breakaway chance that bounced on the line was agonizing.

Now for my little moans, mainly about the people sat near me, there was a chap openly cheering for Cruikshank whilst we are trying to score on him... WHAT?!?, I¡¦m all for clapping and cheering his mom which he deserved but definitely not cheering for him during the game when we are trying to score!!! Also people moaning that when we are 6-1 up when Myers took a heavy touch when there was no danger around him, there really is no pleasing some people.

Also a lot of fans need to get a grip on reality, when lacho took a good hit from konstadine there was uproar, yet when it is anyone else but a young brit there is no moaning, lacho took the hit got up and got on with his game. The sport is a contact sport, he can deal with getting hit why can¡¦t the fans? just because he is young doesn¡¦t mean he should be treated differently, he has played hockey through the ranks so is used to it, I think some fans are living in a dream world, this is the top level of the sport in our country what do they expect? No hits on young players?

Any way all in all a quality weekend, a good result, I hope the season continues like it. And just think Tess isn¡¦t even here yet ƒº

Rob kozak is a .................. (I'll let you finish that sentence with whatever word/s you think is strong enough to describe the attack)

Keep off that subject now i think. Our only complete line seems to be doing the job this season already and we are only a weekend into it. I just can't imagine it when galbraith and tessier is here, i think it's going to be chaos in terms of our goals.

Only 1 good point to come out of hull is curtis cruickshank.

other then the last period it was a very very entertaining game for a neutral, unluckily for me i am not a neutral and think kozak was a disgrace but im ever so glad he didnt end up signing for steelers as rumours he was going to. i just knew with his reputation of pulling stunts he was not going to come off the icce quitely.

NDUR! couldnt of asked more fro mthe fellow again, was unlucky to be thrown out and was just a little be peeved with the ref too much, how can a ref be very good one game and the be like he was today, i felt abit sorrry for hull in the second as carson was just giving everything they did, ust to even things up with the first period.

clarke was brilliant and one of his golas was trademark, top shelf :)

the player i hated more then kozak (as kozak was willing to go with anyone, okay he ended up going with levers :/ ) was kostadine, everytime neilson or bergin was willing to go with him he would turn down, but how many of our brits did he try and have a fight with :o

on all panthers played very well after they had calmed down, toneys was very good again and cook was just brilliant with his puck control and skating ability.

If children go to hockey matches, there parents need to be prepared to explain to them this sort of incident could happen.

As for Carson, i don't intend on defending the guy but thier were other incidents going on all over the ice. Maybe the four official rule would have prevented this but i very much doubt it. In the second period he did crack down on Hull.

Back from Game....

Another good win and a four point weekend :)

Heard that Levers had 25 stitches.

The team played well, Clarke finally back on top form, not really impressed me in previous games, but tonight he came through. The line of Bergin, Richo and Clarke seems to have clicked very quick. Just hope that they dont break them up when Tess and Jade arrive.

First 30seconds, and Clarke lands a nice check to Kerr, and the gloves come off! Sets the rest of the game.

Dont think that Carson ever got control of the game, and this lead to Levers incident.

Good performance overall, and again nice to see us scoring plenty of goals.

Hull, well, they can play nice hockey when they put their minds to it. But with a team of goons, i think they will finish bottom by a long way

Good weekend for the Panthers, two solid games. My fears of too little preparation seem unfounded as I watched a team performance tonight, refused to be intimidated by a complete bunch of morons, Curtis Cruikshank apart and basically wiped the floor with em in the second period.

Thought the Brits were excellent as was Toneys but overall a great team performance.

Kozak should get a ban, his attack on Marc Levers and consequent kicking of his blood was a disgrace, what a complete pillock.

Good start Panthers, a team at last.

Neville Chamberlain, the original happy clapper.
I'd say he got it wrong.

Hopefully Kozak will never play again in this country - from the look Strachan gave him as he went off, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see him for Hull again.

Ramming somebody's head into the ice is one thing, but dancing through his blood on the way off is just not sport. The hitting was bad enough, but the dancing through the blood was the worst thing I've ever seen - for all he knew a fellow pro could have been blinded, concussed, brain damaged, or anything.

I thought Cook had a good game, I am impressed with his skating and stick handling like was said earlier tried a bit too hard to get a goal, although I thought Richardson crowded him a bit on tthat 2 man breakaway.

Great to have Clarkey back, shows what we missed last season. Giving something for Tess to catch up where goals scored is concerned.

When the lines are settled should be looking forward to a great season.

End of the day, if someone slams someones face into the ground off the ice then you're going to get arrested and probably charged, i hope something is done about him as its not acceptable...far enough.....y'know...Goon it up slightly but once one player loses respect for another then they're in the wrong sport.

Here's my take of the game.

I thought the refereeing was abysmal which is why there were so many incidents in the first place. Would the main Kozac incident have happened if Carson clamped down early on? Or would it have happened if there were two referees, one to call the penalties that Carson missed behind the play. e.g. the Riddle hit on Myers. Cant really answer these questions.

Panthers - Looked good, with plenty of depth in the forwards. I'm not really one to single out players but Lachowicz (apologies if i have spelt it wrong) has improved no end and Graham looks like he will be a very very good player. Parley didn't really do anything wrong but at the same time had very little to do. Meyers goal was a cracker and it was good to see Clarkie back and scoring. ; Overall i'll reserve judgement until ten or fifteen games into the season but it is an impressive start.

Hull - What can you say? Kozac is a disgrace, i'm going to leave it at that. Kostadine - what a waste of an import. Cruikshank was very impressive and with Bernier and Neumeier in front of him i can see Hull being difficult to beat. What they need to do is get a couple of good players in and get rid of a couple of goons. They have too much toughness. A couple of new players and a disciplined team and i think Hull will be very difficult to beat. No doubt you will all disagree. ;D
