Wage cap again? Is that the best they can do?

Wage cap?...Well, if your allowed to take as many in the SQUAD as you wish but can only play a certain maximum.I don't think any club would lavish wages on so many players.
Credit to Sheffield fans that DO turn up.That's a measure of support.Though I think their chant of 'we are number eight' was beaten by ours. Also the 'Your not singing any more' though only by a few. No need to even try the 'If you all hate Sheffield clap your hands' folk, we are better than that. Just beating them is enough. Thought the nettie was a bit slack for us.Too busy slapping his stick to notify the near end of a Sheffield penalty yet not with his eye on the game. How many times were we on a delayed call coming up for him to be still standing there in his crease instead of getting off for the extra man. Meyers goal is worth a mention too for it's 'on target' quality.

Fantastic night really enjoyed it.
Panthers were a different class in the second period and they never loooked back eased up in the third and protected the lead without becoming boring to watch or complacent and letting the advantage slip great performance .

perhaps you two cant see past the post and read into it a little more.think about it, we annihilated the steelers last night and everyone was firing on all cylinders. do you honestly think the team will be able to play to the best of their potential tonight? come on, have a hard think about it, whenever we play a really good game against sheffield/coventry alot of the time by the away game the next day, the players are worn out.
thoughts?

Regarding the wage cap, read all the (5) posts. It's hardly a torrent of accusations. Unlike your own forums' constant hints whenever Steelers bring in new players.

5 posts? We'll see how many that increases to later, shall we? (not bothered to go onto the Sheffield forum yet, that would be like kicking a puppy...) As for past stuff - give it a rest, your lot are the worst in the country for that kind of innuendo, always have been...

I love it the two teams who have broke wage caps for last 15 years bickering over wagecaps.

No one is bickering, certainly on this forum, so stop trolling Mr Hull fan or get banned.
Your choice.

There's only been a wage cap in place for around 10 seasons.
I look forward to you publishing your evidence on this Scrappy for us all to see.

I don't fully understand how this new rule works but if it's being so successful for us why arn't other clubs (especially Steelers) going down this same route? |

There is 2 different issues.
1) is how much you are spending within the wage cap but 2) is how much you are actually spending.
If you are talking wage cap and you are trying to justify how we have managed to stay within it, you would say that Lacroque has come in and Toneys wage hasn't been included for this game as he hasn't played. Flimsy but then the wage cap has always been like that.
If you are talking actual spend, we are now paying 11 import players even if one isn't playing, in the same way we paid Rumun all of last year and have carried spare imports in previous years. Luckily we have an owner who can afford this. In the current climate, I doubt Sheffield can afford to do this. Nothing to do with wage cap, just actual spend.

Was i just my family or did anyone else find it highly amusing that Matsos was sat on the coach(with a face like thunder) even before half the arena was empty. He was not a happy man. On the game side i have to agree with a lot of people Sheffield were very very poor. Larocque looked good. Levers deserved his mom. But at stages we were very poor too. Hey we beat the steelers so hopefully we can carry the momentum on to tonight and get another win. fingers crossed.
